Making the Most of A Beautiful Life

So for those of you who may not know me, I thought an introduction is probably best. My name is Fiona Rossiter and I am from Cape Town, in sunny South Africa. Among other hats that I wear, I am a wife and a mom of two teenage girls. I have been running my blog, Inspired Living, for quite some time now, and while I have had fun doing it, I am yearning for something more.

A Beautiful Life

Over last two years, I have noticed a definite shift in the online world, in general. Things have gotten a lot more serious and competitive, with blogging becoming much more commercialised. Don’t get me wrong, I have been afforded many wonderful opportunities and even started earning money from my blog. Money, however, cannot buy you happiness. I also have felt for a while, that I needed to balance the commercial side, with something more personal – more about life and less about stuff!

So, I have decided to use “A Beautifull Life” to do just that. This will be somewhere for me to share a bit about my outlook on life and hopefully create an encouraging online space.

I have been blessed with a wonderful life and a gorgeous family but that does not mean that I do not have bad days or sometimes even a bad week or two. One of the main issues I have lies with social media. Often the online persona we see is not a reflection of “real-life” or the real person and I am as much to blame. We create this curated perfect version of who we are and what we do. Often this leads to comparison and the danger is, that someone’s online profile, may not be a true reflection of who they actually are. Yes, it is great to be inspired and motivated by what others do but never lose sight of who you are and what you are meant to be doing!

On A Beautiful Life, I am hoping to share motivational posts, as well as real-life nitty-gritty stuff that often we are too scared to put out there for fear of judgement. I would love you to get involved. Please feel free to share a bit about yourself, and what motivates and inspires you.
