Welcome to “a beautiful life” I am Fiona Rossiter, a Capetonain with a passion for all things beautiful and creative. I also write an Inspirational Lifestyle blog called Super Mom Blog, which focuses on subjects from Fashion to Motherhood and everything in-between!

“a beautiful life” is the vision I have to create an online lifestyle magazine focusing on the subjects that I am passionate about, with Cape Town and South Africa at the heart of that vision.

“a beautiful life”combines my love of cooking and food with one of my other obsessions photography! What you can expect from my website are tried and tested recipes and honest reviews and opinions of restaurants and travel experiences. I love to travel and wish I could do a great deal more but having a family limits the amount of international travel that we are able to do but in saying that we live in such a beautiful country, which we still need to explore to it’s fullest potential!

My love affair with food started at a rather young age, my mom was an avid cook and baker. I have fond memories of us baking together, well me adding the odd ingredients and getting the chefs spoils of licking the beaters! I have definitely inherited my mothers ability to cook but baking is somewhat lost on me. I fear it is the need for precision, in baking, that is beyond me I am a more “fly by the seat of your pants chef” I do not like recipes at the best of times! Pastry is my biggest nemesis but nothing like a bit of challenge – so watch this space I may perfect the art yet!

Through “a beautiful life” I hope to share my love of food with you –  fresh ingredients, simple easy to follow recipes, delicious food – cooked from the heart – MY JOURNEY WITH FOOD. Ooh and good wine lets not forget the wine!
